KARACHI: After Mayor Waseem Akhtar’s car snatching incident, another government vehicle was stolen in the metropolis on Sunday night.
The vehicle belonged to the Sindh Assembly and was stolen from Karachi’s Sachal Goth neighbourhood.
According to the SSP Malir Shiraz Nazeer, at the time of the incident, only the driver was present in the car.
The search for the car and further investigations are underway, he added.
On Saturday, Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar’s official car was stolen at gunpoint.
According to police, unidentified armed men snatched away the mayor’s vehicle from Defence Housing Authority’s (DHA) Khayaban-e-Bokhari area.
Reportedly, the mayor’s driver was the only one present in the black Toyota Corolla when it got stolen.
Akhtar confirmed the incident and said that he had submitted a request for filing a first information report (FIR) in Darakshan Police Station.
