ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) filed a reference for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s disqualification from the National Assembly.
National Assembly Member Tallal Chaudhry wrote in the reference that Imran doesn’t meet the criteria set out in article 62 and 63 of the constitution so such a person has no right to sit in the assembly. He further said in the reference that Imran’s offshore company was not declared in his assets.
The reference was filed with National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, who summoned the National Assembly secretary for reviewing the reference. It would be sent to the secretariat for further action after it is approved.
