FAISALABAD: City Police Officer (CPO) Afzaal Kausar has deputed 1,702 police officials and the officers for security duty along with polio teams during a three-day anti-polio drive here.
A police spokesman Amir Waheed said on Monday that the health department planned to start polio drive from May 23 to 25.Therefore, the CPO appointed 1,702 police officials including 11 inspectors, 33 sub-inspectors, 161 assistant sub-inspectors, 173 head-constables and 1,324 constables for security duty.
These police personnel will remain along with anti-polio teams of the health department from the start till culmination of their duty in the field. He added that the station house officers, mobile officers and the eagle squads would also remain alert to deal with any untoward incident during the anti-polio drive in the district.
