LAKKI MARWAT: A gang of thieves was busted as five suspected gang-members were arrested in a raid by the police in Lakki Marwat on Sunday A police official said that unknown thieves broke into the shops located at Michen Khel locality in Lakki and took away cash, mobile phones and other valuables. He said that the affected shopkeepers approached the police for initiating action against the culprits whereupon DPO Muhammad Hasan Iqbal tasked the city police to trace the thieves and ensure their arrest at all costs. The official added that the criminals used small kids to steal goods and cash from shops. He said that the cops also arrested three minors including Ishfaq, Jawad and Riaz for their alleged involvement in theft incidents. He said that the arrested boys disclosed the names of their mentors during initial interrogation. “The law enforcers raided over a suspected hideout in Lakki city and arrested key members of the gang identified as Suhail Khan and Asif Khan”, he maintained, saying that police also recovered looted money and mobile phones from them and registered a case under the relevant section of the law at Lakki Marwat police station.
